Seeing the richness of the virtues of Job,/ the enemy of the righteous plotted to steal them;/ yet though he broke down the tower of his body,/ he could not steal the treasure of his spirit;/ for he who, having stripped me naked, took me captive/ found the soul of the blameless one fully armed./ Wherefore, anticipating my need before the end, O Savior,// deliver me from the deceiver and save me.

As an indestructible pillar of courage, / you repulsed the attacks of Belial and remained unmoved in temptation. / Therefore, O wise Job, / the Church praises you as a model of endurance and an example of virtue; / and she is made radiant by your great deeds.

Acquiring the patient endurance of the long-suffering forefather, emulating the abstinence of the Baptist, and sharing in the divine zeal of both, thou wast vouchsafed worthily to receive their names, and wast a fearless preacher of the true Faith. Wherefore, thou didst lead a multitude of monks to Christ, and didst confirm all the people in Orthodoxy. O Job our venerable father, pray thou that our souls be saved.

O blessed mother Sophia, you became wise, and the adornment of the Mother of God, and you lived your life in the Monastery ascetically, from which have spread the praise of your struggles, striking the ranks of the demons. And as you stand as an intercessor before Christ, do not neglect those who honor you with fervor.
