Troparion of St Hermias Tone 4
Enlisted for Christ the King of all,/ thou didst hew down the enemy ranks, O glorious Hermias./ After enduring many torments in thine old age/ thou didst contest as God's warrior./ Intercede with Him, O trophy-bearer, that all may be saved.
Troparion of St Hermias of Cappadocia Tone 4
In his suffering, O Lord,/ Thy martyr Hermias received an imperishable crown from Thee our God;/ for, possessed of Thy might,/ he set at nought the tormentors and crushed the feeble audacity of the demons.// By his supplications save Thou our souls.
Ἀπολυτίκιον τοῦ Μάρτυρος Ἦχος δ´
Ὁ Μάρτυς σου Κύριε, ἐν τῇ ἀθλήσει αὐτοῦ, τὸ στέφος ἐκομίσατο τῆς ἀφθαρσίας, ἐκ σοῦ τοῦ Θεοῦ ἡμῶν· ἔχων γὰρ τὴν ἰσχύν σου, τοὺς τυράννους καθεῖλεν ἔθραυσε καὶ δαιμόνων τὰ ἀνίσχυρα θράση. Αὐτοῦ ταῖς ἱκεσίαις Χριστὲ ὁ Θεός, σῶσον τὰς ψυχὰς ἡμῶν.
Ἀπολυτίκιο. Ἅγιος Ἑρμείας Ἦχος δ’. Ταχὺ προκατάλαβε
Χριστῷ στρατευσάμενος, τῷ Βασιλεῖ τοῦ παντός, γενναίως διέκοψας, τὰς παρατάξεις ἐχθρῶν, Ἑρμεία πανένδοξε· σὺ γὰρ ἐγκαρτερήσας, πολυτρόποις αἰκίαις, ἤθλησας ἐν τῷ γήρᾳ, ὡς τοῦ Λόγου ὁπλίτης· ᾧ πρέσβευε Ἀθλοφόρε, σώζεσθαι ἅπαντας.

O three holy Saints who in honour of the Trinity/ left Ireland to labour in Cornwall:/ having toiled on earth you are glorified in heaven,/ blessed Winnow, Mancus and Myrbad.

Thou didst steadfastly confess the Name of Christ/ and endure grievous torments, O Hermias,/ and vanquish the ancient foe./ With an aged body,/ in thy youthful ardour thou didst attain to the joys of Paradise.
Kontakion of St Hermas of Cappadocia Tone 6 "Fulfilling Thy dispensation for us..."
Having struggled eagerly for Christ,/ thou didst acquire courage at an advanced age, O martyr Hermias;/ and having trampled the machinations of the iniquitous underfoot by the power of Christ,/ thou didst remain unharmed by sorcerous potions, crying:/ "God is with me!// Who then can stand against me?"
Κοντάκιον. Ἅγιος Ἑρμείας Ἦχος γ’. Ἡ Παρθένος σήμερον
Τοῦ Χριστοῦ τὸ ὄνομα, ὁμολογήσας εὐτόνως, καὶ σφοδρῶν κολάσεων, ὑπενεγκὼν τὰς ὀδύνας, ᾔσχυνας, τῶν παρανόμων τὰς ἐπινοίας· ἔδειξας, τῆς εὐσεβείας πᾶσι τὸ κράτος· διὰ τοῦτό σε Ἑρμεία, ὁ Ἀθλοθέτης Λόγος ἐδόξασε.

Ὅπλοις ἀληθείας περιφραχθείς, κάθεῖλες τοῦ ψεύδους, Ἀθλοφόρε τὸν εὑρετήν, ἐν γήρᾳ νεάζον, ψυχῆς φρόνημα φέρων, καὶ ἤθλησας νομίμως, Ἑρμεία ἔνδοξε.
