O Dorotheos, wise Hierarch of Christ,/ thou didst receive the light of wisdom as a gift from the Father of lights./ Thou didst increase the talents given to thee/ and contest in thine old age beyond the bounds of nature./ And thou, O Hieromartyr, art interceding for our souls.

As thou didst share in the ways of the apostles/ and didst occupy their throne,/ thou didst find thine activity to be a passage to divine vision,/ O divinely inspired one./ Wherefore, ordering the word of truth,/ thou didst suffer for the Faith even to the shedding of thy blood.// O hieromartyr Dorotheas, entreat Christ God, that our souls be saved.
Ἀπολυτίκιον. Ἅγιος Δωρόθεος ὁ Τύρου Ἦχος δ´
Καὶ τρόπων μέτοχος, καὶ θρόνων διάδοχος, τῶν Ἀποστόλων γενόμενος, τὴν πρᾶξιν εὗρες θεόπνευστε, εἰς θεωρίας ἐπίβασιν· διὰ τοῦτο τὸν λόγον τῆς ἀληθείας ὀρθοτομῶν, καὶ τῇ πίστει ἐνήθλησας μέχρις αἵματος, Ἱερομάρτυς Δωρόθεε, Πρέσβευε Χριστῷ τῷ Θεῷ, σωθῆναι τὰς ψυχὰς ἡμῶν.
Ἀπολυτίκιον. Ἅγιος Δωρόθεος ὁ Τύρου Ἦχος δ’. Ταχὺ προκατάλαβε
Ὡς δώρημα τέλειον, ἐκ τοῦ τῶν φώτων Πατρὸς, σοφίας τὴν ἔλλαμψιν, ὡς Ἱεράρχης σοφός, ἐδέξω Δωρόθεε· ὅθεν καὶ πλεονάσας, τὸν σὸν τάλαντον μάκαρ, ἤθλησας ὑπὲρ φύσιν, βαθυτάτῳ ἐν γήρᾳ, πρεσβεύων Ἱερομάρτυς, ὑπὲρ τῶν ψυχῶν ἡμῶν.
Apolytikion of St Peter Tone 1
As a desert dweller, an angel in body and a miracle worker, thou hast revealed thyself O our God-bearing father Peter. Through fasting, vigils and prayer, thou hast received heavenly gifts to heal the needy and those who come to thee with faith. Glory be to the One who crowned thee. Glory be to the One who strengthened thee. Glory be to the One who through thee accomplishes healings.

You gladdened the whole island of Chios, O godly-minded, glorious Martyr Mark, as you radiantly preached piety, and deposed profane error, through your words and struggles, O godly-wise one. As you received that which you sought, O ever-memorable one, remember us who praise you.

God glorified you in heaven and on earth, O adornment and boast of Martyrs, O Mark the radiant. To those who celebrate your sacred memory with fervor, and faithfully venerate the treasury of your relics, grant your grace, and pray to Christ for them, that they be delivered from dangers and trials.

By preaching Orthodox doctrine, O Hieromartyr,/ thou didst offer thyself as a godly and holy gift./ Thou didst first excel in asceticism/ and then contest in martyrdom,/ and attain to receiving the victor's prize from Christ our God.

Resplendent with virtues brighter than the sun/ and with thy sufferings, O blessed Dorotheus,/ thou didst shine forth and illumine the land,/ dispelling the darkness of polytheism and vile heresy./ Wherefore, we celebrate thy memory with splendor.

To those who stand round your reliquary, O glorious Mark, and faithfully venerate your divine relics, grant the grace of the Spirit through your prayers, that He might dwell in them and remain in them, and pour forth streams of healings, for you have attained boldness before the Lord.
