With faith, piety and devotion let us hasten to the sacred shrine of the wondrous martyr Alban, the first in Britain to shed his blood for Christ the Lord, for Whom he willingly laid down his life; and let us pray that through his supplications our souls may find mercy and salvation.

In his struggle your holy martyr Alban, / Gained the crown of life, O Christ our God. / For strengthened by you and in purity of heart, / He spoke boldly before the judges of this world, / Offering up his head to you, the Judge of all!

Thy holy martyr Alban in his struggle/ has gained the crown of life, O Christ our God;/ for strengthened by Thee and with a pure heart/ he spoke boldly before wordly judges,/ giving up his sacred head to Thee, the Judge of all.

Illumined by the Spirit's wisdom,/ thou didst reveal God's word, O glorious Eusebios;/ for as a Hierarch of the Trinity,/ in thy holy contest thou didst destroy errors./ Holy Father pray that we all may be saved.

By sharing in the ways of the Apostles, / you became a successor to their throne. / Through the practice of virtue, you found the way to divine contemplation, O inspired one of God; / by teaching the word of truth without error, you defended the Faith, even to the shedding of your blood. / Hieromartyr Eusebius, entreat Christ God to save our souls.
Apolytikion of ST EUSEBIOS — Tone 4
As a sharer of the ways and a successor to the throne of the Apostles, O inspired of God, thou foundest discipline to be a means of ascent to divine vision. Wherefore, having rightly divided the word of truth, thou didst also contest for the Faith even unto blood, O Hieromartyr Eusebius. Intercede with Christ our God that our souls be saved.

In the agony of immolation ye died for Christ
The Lamb and Shepherd, slain as reason-endowed ewe-lambs
Wherefore, magnifying Him with joyous soul

O right wondrous and glorious Ebba and all those of thy flock who suffered with thee.

Abundant in virtue, and adorned with meekness and piety, you shone forth through the purity of your life; therefore, you were granted the grace to be the mother of our people’s Luminary. Thus, we cry aloud to you: Rejoice, O venerable mother Anastasia.

Imbued with courage and bravery from on high, the glorious martyr Alban stood undaunted before the tyrant and boldly confessed Christ as the only God of all; and he utterly refused to offer sacrifice to false deities. Wherefore, having laid down his life for the Lord, he maketh earnest entreaty in behalf of our souls.

Having lived piously in the rank of hierarch/ and traversed the path of martyrdom,/ thou didst extinguish the burnt offerings of the idolaters,/ O holy hierarch Eusebius./ / But as thou hast boldness before Christ God, entreat Him, that our souls be saved.

Thou didst sow godly teachings and uproot the tares of Arius/ and wast adorned with the martyr's crown;/ thou didst proclaim God the Word to be of one Essence with the Father and the Spirit:/ wherefore we cry to thee: Rejoice, O Father Eusebios.
