Troparion of St Procopius Tone 1
Thou didst advance in asceticism, O Father Procopios,/ and go from strength to strength./ By worshipping the icon of Christ thou didst share the lot of the Martyrs;/ with them ever intercede for those who cry to thee:/ Glory to Him Who has strengthened thee; glory to Him Who has crowned thee;/ glory to Him Who through thee works healings for all.

With the streams of thy tears thou didst irrigate the barren desert,/ and with sighs from the depths of thy soul thou didst render thy labors fruitful an hundredfold./ Thou wast a beacon for the whole world, radiating miracles.// O our father Procopius, entreat Christ God that our souls be saved.

By a flood of tears You did make the desert fertile / And the longing for God brought forth fruits in abundance. / By the radiance of miracles You did illuminate the whole universe. / O holy Father Procopius, pray to Christ our God to save our souls!

Φερωνύμως προκόπτων ἐν ἀσκήσει Προκόπιε, ἤρθης ἐκ δυνάμεως Πάτερ, πρὸς ἀθλήσεως ἔλλαμψιν· Χρίστου γὰρ τὴν Εἰκόνα προσκυνῶν, Μαρτύρων ἀνεδείχθης κοινωνός· μεθ’ ὧν πρέσβευε παμμάκαρ διαπαντός, ὑπὲρ τῶν ἐκβοώντων σοι· δόξα τῷ δεδωκότι σοι ἰσχύν, δόξα τῷ σὲ στεφανώσαντι, δόξα τῷ ἐνερνοῦντι διὰ σοῦ, πᾶσιν ἰάματα.

Ταῖς τῶν δακρύων σου ῥοαῖς, τῆς ἐρήμου τό ἄγονον ἐγεώργησας· καί τοῖς ἐκ βάθους στεναγμοῖς, εἰς ἑκατόν τούς πόνους ἐκαρποφόρησας· καί γέγονας φωστήρ τῇ οἰκουμένῃ, λάμπων τοῖς θαύμασιν, Προκόπιε Πατήρ ἡμῶν ὅσιε, πρέσβευε Χριστῷ τῷ Θεῷ, σωθῆναι τάς ψυχάς ἡμῶν.

Your proclamation has gone forth throughout North America, / calling the scattered sheep into the unity of the church. / hearing your voice, they responded to your teaching, / and through your writings you instructed them in piety. / Now guided by your example, O Father Raphael, / we sing hymns of praise unto Christ our God. / Glory to Him Who gave you strength! / Glory to Him Who granted you a crown! / Glory to Him Who, through you, grants healing to all!

Today the Church obtains in thee a morning star,/ and by honouring thee dispels the darkness of heresy,/ O glorious Procopios, initiate of heaven.

The Church, possessing thee today as a morning star, dispelleth all the darkness of heresy,/ honoring thee, O all-glorious Procopius,// initiate of the heavenly mysteries.

Ἑωσφόρον σήμερον ἡ Ἐκκλησία, κεκτημένη ἅπασαν, κακοδοξίας τήν ἀχλύν, διασκεδάζει τιμῶσά σε, οὐρανομύστα Προκόπιε ἔνδοξε.

You were a guardian and a defender of the Church’s teaching; / you protected your flock from false doctrines and confirmed them in the true faith. / O holy father Raphael, son of Syria and glory of North America, / always intercede before the Lord that our souls may be saved.
