HOLY AND RIGHTEOUS MARTYR EUDOKIA THE SAMARITAN
ST DAVID OF WALES
ST AGAPIUS of Vatopedi
Troparion of St Eudokia Tone 3
O Eudokia, when godly fear entered thy heart,/ thou didst abandon the glory of the world,/ and hasten to God the Word./ Thou didst take His yoke on thy flesh,/ and shed thy blood in a contest surpassing nature./ O glorious Martyr, entreat Christ our God to grant us His great mercy.

Troparion of St Eudokia Tone 8
Having bound thy soul to the love of Christ with uprightness of mind,/ as a disciple of the Word thou didst avoid corrupt, transitory and beautiful things by ignoring them;/ and having first mortified the passions by fasting,/ thou didst put the enemy to shame by thy suffering./ Wherefore, Christ hath vouchsafed unto thee a twofold crown.// O glorious Eudocia, venerable sufferer, entreat Christ God that our souls be saved.

Troparion of St Eudokia Tone 8
With an upright mind you bound your soul to the love of Christ. / As a disciple of the Word you turned from corruption and all that passes away, / for you were not moved by earthly beauty. / First you mortified the passions through fasting, then you put the enemy to shame by your suffering. / Therefore, Christ has granted you a two-fold crown. / Glorious Eudokia, venerable passion-bearer, entreat Christ God that our souls may be saved!

Troparion of St David Tone l
Having worked miracles in thy youth, founded monasteries and converted the pagans/ who had sought to destroy thee, O Father David,/ Christ our God blessed thee to receive the episcopate at the place of His Resurrection./ Intercede for us, that our lives may be blessed and our souls may be saved.

Kontakion of St Eudokia Tone 4
He Who was pleased to raise thee from the depths of perdition to the summit of godliness/ has also made thee illustrious through thy contest./ He has granted thee the grace of healing,/ O righteous Martyr and equal to the Angels./ Beseech Him to save us, O Eudokia.

Kontakion of St Eudokia Tone 4
Having contended well in thy suffering, O most lauded one,/ even after thy death thou dost sanctify with outpourings of wonders/ us who with faith have recourse to thy divine church;/ and, holding festival, we entreat thee, O venerable martyr Eudocia:// May we be delivered from spiritual afflictions and draw forth the grace of miracles.

Kontakion of St Eudokia Tone 4
You contended well in your suffering, all-praised one; / even after your death you bless us, pouring out wonders on us. / In faith we run to your divine temple, / and as we celebrate your feast, we entreat you, venerable martyr Eudokia, / that we be delivered from spiritual afflictions and may receive the grace of miracles.

Kontakion of St David Tone 6
The living waters of godly discipline encompassed thee/ and the saving waters of faith flowed through thy teaching/ O Hierarch and Waterman David./ Symbolizing the baptism of Wales in thy life, thou art worthy of all praise,/ wherefore we keep festival in thy honour,/ glorifying thy eternal memory.

Canon of the Saints of Mount Athos. Ode 1. Tone 8
It is fitting to hymn the glorious Agapios of Vatopaidi, because he heard the voice of the Mother of God and, though a slave, like a free man ransomed his own master with his sons from eternal punishment.
