As friend and companion of Demetrius/ thou wast an invincible athlete of godliness./ By divine help thou didst conquer Lyaios,/ and in being slain became a holy sacrifice to Christ.

Your holy martyr Nestor, O Lord, / Through his sufferings has received an incorruptible crown from You, our God. / For having Your strength, he laid low his adversaries, / And shattered the powerless boldness of demons. / Through his intercessions, save our souls!

In his suffering, O Lord,/ Thy martyr Nestor received an imperishable crown from Thee our God;/ for, possessed of Thy might,/ he set at nought the tormentors and crushed the feeble audacity of the demons.// By his supplications save Thou our souls.

Ὁ Μάρτυς σου Κύριε, ἐν τῇ ἀθλήσει αὐτοῦ, τὸ στέφος ἐκομίσατο τῆς ἀφθαρσίας, ἐκ σοῦ τοῦ Θεοῦ ἡμῶν· ἔχων γὰρ τὴν ἰσχύν σου, τοὺς τυράννους καθεῖλεν ἔθραυσε καὶ δαιμόνων τὰ ἀνίσχυρα θράση. Αὐτοῦ ταῖς ἱκεσίαις Χριστὲ ὁ Θεός, σῶσον τὰς ψυχὰς ἡμῶν.

Ἀθλητὴς εὐσεβείας ἀκαταγώνιστος, ὡς κοινωνὸς καὶ συνήθης τοῦ Δημητρίου ὀφθείς, ἠγωνίσω ἀνδρικῶς Νέστορ μακάριε· τῇ θεϊκῇ γὰρ ἀρωγῇ, τὸν Λυαῖον καθελών, ὡς ἄμωμον ἱερεῖον, σφαγιασθεὶς προσηνέχθης, τῷ Ἀθλοθέτῃ καὶ Θεῷ ἡμῶν.

In Ireland's fertile soil thou didst plant the seeds of monasticism, O Father Abban,/ and didst nurture a great flowering of God-pleasing virtue./ Continue steadfastly in thy enduring love, to lead mankind to God/ and by thy prayers may we be granted great mercy.

O Father Otteran, thou wast the first among the saintly Columba's disciples to repose/ and be laid to rest in the blessed soil of Iona./ As in thy life thou didst live only for Christ,/ we pray thee to intercede for us that we may follow thee into the way of salvation.
Troparion of ST COLMAN of Senboth-Fola ― Tone 8
Through trials and temptations thou didst shepherd/ the monastics of Senboth-Fola, O Father Colman,/ and didst guide many souls on their pilgrimage to Christ./ Wherefore, we pray thee, intercede with Him, that our souls may be saved.

Thou hast won thy contest and inherited eternal glory,/ and didst become a soldier of Christ/ through the prayers of Demetrius./ With him, O wise Nestor, unceasingly pray for us.

Having contested well,/ thou hast now inherited immortal glory,/ for thou wast an excellent warrior of the Master/ by the prayers of the martyr Demetrius;// with him, then, cease not to pray for us all, O wise Nestor.

Having fought the good fight, you won immortal glory: / Through the prayers of the martyr Demetrios you became a perfect soldier of Christ. / Therefore, O wise Nestor, do not cease to intercede together with Demetrios / For the salvation of us all!

As the disciple of the God-bearing Theodosius and a true emulator of his life, thou wast vouchsafed to be the first to behold his precious relics; and having translated them to rest in holiness with the other saints, with them thou hast inherited the kingdom of heaven. Pray thou to the Lord, that we who honor thee may also receive it.
