By the command of the Most High, the sky was darkened with rain clouds, lightning flashed, threat'ning thunder clashed, and you gave up your soul into the hands of the Lord, O Artemius most wise. Now as you stand before the Throne of the Lord of All, you grant healing unfailingly to those who come to you with faith and love, and you pray to Christ our God that our souls may be saved.

Kontakion of ST MATRONA of Chios ― Tone3
In no wise was your femininity, seen as a hindrance O Matrona, towards your super human struggles and contests, putting them to shame, by your great mind O God-bearer, bringing great gladness, to the female race by your victories, taking away the reproach of defeat.
Κοντάκιον. Ὁσία ΜΑΤΡῶΝΑ
Οὐδαμῶς τὸ θῆλύ σοι, ἐμποδὼν ὤφθη Ματρῶνα, πρὸς τοὺς ὑπὲρ ἄνθρωπον, ἀγῶνας ὄντως καὶ ἄθλους· ᾔσχυνας, διὸ τὸν μέγαν νοῦν θεοφόρε· εὔφρανας, τὸ γυναικεῖον μεγάλως γένος, τὸ ἐκείνου ταῖς σαῖς νίκαις, προσαφελοῦσα τῆς ἥττης ὄνειδος.

You worshiped Christ with ascetic living, and as a struggler you honored His Holy Icon, and for the sake of His Icon you gave your life. Therefore we revere your memory.
Μεγαλυνάριον. Ἅγιος ἈΡΤΈΜΙΟΣ ὁ ΜΕΓΑΛΟΜΆΡΤΥΡΑΣ
Δόξαν ὑπατείας ὑπεριδών, τὸ ὕπατον κλέος, ἐπορίσω τῶν ἀρετῶν, ὡς ἀνδραγαθήσας, Ἀρτέμιε ἐνδόξως· διὸ παντοίας βλάβης, ῥύου τοὺς δούλους σου.
Μεγαλυνάριον. Ἅγιος ἈΡΤΈΜΙΟΣ ὁ ΜΕΓΑΛΟΜΆΡΤΥΡΑΣ
Τὸν μεγαλομάρτυρα τοῦ Χριστοῦ, καὶ τῶν ἰαμάτων, τὸν πολλύρρυτον ποταμόν, τῆς ἐντεροκήλης, τὸν θεῖον ἰατῆρα, Ἀρτέμιον τὸν μέγαν, ὕμνοις τιμήσωμεν.

With the confession of Christians, God placed on an unshaken pillar, your revered body, giving to all Gerasimos, that oppose this stone, terrible offense.

Τῆς ὁμολογίας Χριστιανῶν, ἔθετό σε σὲ στῦλον, ἀδιάσειστον ὀ Θεός, τὸ σεπτόν σου σκῆνος, Γεράσιμε δοὺς πᾶσι, τοῖς ἐναντίοις λίθον, δεινοῦ προσκόμματος.

Having poured forth the sweat of asceticism, in Chios O Mother, as the stream of a spring, from which we draw from, blessed Matrona, the cleansing of the passions of our perishable soul.

Having your revered icon, glorious Matrona, as a lasting tower, we flee to it in times of all manner of danger, and we are redeemed from all harm.

Ἔβλυσας ἱδρῶτας ἀσκητικούς, ἐν τῇ Χίῳ Μῆτερ, ὡς καλλίκρουνός τις πηγή, ἐξ ὧν ἀπαντλοῦντες, Ματρῶνα μακαρία, παθῶν τῶν ψυχοφθόρων, ἐκκαθαιρόμεθα.

You shone brightly with your ascetic life. You confessed honor for the Icon of Christ and endured great pain and struggles for it, all-blessed Andronikos, the adornment of Crete.
