ST GUTHLAC hermit of Crowland
Troparion of St Antipas Tone 1
Let us honour myrrh-giving Antipas, Martyr and Hierarch of Pergamos,/ the healer of toothache./ Let us cry to him: Glory to Christ Who has glorified thee; glory to Him Who has crowned thee;/ glory to Him Who through thee works healings for all.

Apolytikion of St Antipas Tone 1
The celebrated hierarch and Pergamum's first prelate, the fellow-contestant of Martyrs and most divine myrrh-streamer, ye faithful, come let us honour now wise Antipas, who truly is a great and swift healer of severely afflicted teeth, and cry to him with our whole soul: Glory to Christ that hath glorified thee. Glory to Him that hath crowned thee. Glory to Him that worketh healings for all through thee.

Troparion of St Antipas Tone 4
By sharing in the ways of the Apostles, / you became a successor to their throne. / Through the practice of virtue, / you found the way to divine contemplation, O inspired one of God; / by teaching the word of truth without error, / you defended the Faith, even to the shedding of your blood. / Hieromartyr Antipas, entreat Christ God to save our souls.

Troparion of St Antipas Tone 4
As thou didst share in the ways of the apostles/ and didst occupy their throne,/ thou didst find thine activity to be a passage to division vision,/ O divinely inspired one./ Wherefore, ordering the word of truth, thou didst suffer for the Faith even to the shedding of thy blood.// O hieromartyr Antypas, entreat Christ God, that our souls be saved.

Troparion of St Maedhog Tone 3
Thou didst govern thy monastery of Clonmore/ in Ireland's Age of Saints, O holy Abbot Maedhog./ Pray to Christ our God that we too may find grace/ to live in faith and penitence,/ that we may attain to salvation.

Troparion of the Pochaev Icon Tone 5
Those who pray before your holy icon, O Lady,
Are vouchsafed healing and receive the knowledge of the true faith,
And they repel the attacks of the Muslim horde.
Therefore entreat remission of sins
For us who fall down before you.
Enlighten our hearts to thoughts of piety,
And raise a prayer to your Son to save our souls.

Troparion of St Guthlac Tone 5
Dwelling from thy youth amid trackless and watery wastes, O divinely wise father, with holy zeal thou didst strive to follow the commandments of Christ. Wherefore, the ranks of angels were amazed, beholding thee, a man of flesh and blood, contending valiantly against the passions, O all-wise one, and prevailing over all the hordes of the demons. On earth thou wast a peer of the angels, and in heaven thou art ever an intercessor for mankind. O venerable Guthlac, entreat Christ God, that He save our souls.

Kontakion of St Antipas Tone 2
With hymns and praises on this day/ let us all acclaim Antipas,/ light of the world and famous Hierarch,/ champion of truth and teacher of Pergamos./ He intercedes with Christ our God/ that we may be saved.

Kontakion of St Antipas Tone 2
Today with hymns and praises let us acclaim Antipas, / light of the world and famous hierarch, / champion of truth and teacher of Pergamum. / He intercedes with Christ our God that we may be saved.

Kontakion of St Antipas Plagal Tone 4
Unto the hierarch and renowned Great Martyr of the Lord, to the most excellent protector of all Pergamum, unto him that cast our common foe down in ruin, unto Antipas let us sing praises as is due, for he healeth them that suffer from afflicted teeth. Let us cry with love: Rejoice, O thrice-blessed Father.

Kontakion of St Antipas Tone 4 ''Having been lifted up..."
Thou didst occupy the throne of the apostles and wast the adornment of holy hierarchs, O blessed and sacred Antypas, and having been glorified in martyrdom thou hast shone forth like the sun, illumining all; and thou didst destroy the deep night of ungodliness. Wherefore, we honor as a godly hieromartyr and giver of healings.

Kontakion of St Guthlac Tone 8
Thou didst shine forth over the fens like a star of great radiance, O blessed one, having made thine abode amid impassable wastes; for, taking thy yoke upon thy shoulders, by ascetic feats and spiritual toil thou didst put down the uprisings of the flesh, and having reached perfection of soul didst therein attain true love for God and neighbor. Wherefore, we cry out to thee: By thine entreaties turn thy people to their ancient piety, O wise one, that all the faithful may cry to thee: Rejoice, O venerable father Guthlac!

PRAYER TO OUR HOLY AND GOD-BEARING FATHER GUTHLAC OF CROWLAND AND THE FENS
O beloved Father Guthlac, whilst on earth thou didst see the future as if present, distant things as if near, the hearts and minds of men as if they were thine own. We know that in this thou wast enlightened by God, with Whom thou wast ever in the mystical communion of prayer, and with Whom thou abidest eternally. As once Thou didst hear the petitions of thy followers and those who flocked to thee even before they could speak to thee, so now hear our prayers and bring them before the Lord. Thou hast gone over to the life everlasting, unto the other world, yet thou art in truth not far from us, for Heaven is closer to us than our own souls. Show us who are troubled and cast down in sin the same compassion that thou didst once show to those who sought thee out in thy Fenland solitude. Give to us who have fallen into sin, confusion and despair, the same stern, yet loving instruction that thou didst once give to thy chosen flock. In thee we see the living likeness of our Maker, the living spirit of the Gospel, a second Apostle Bartholomew, and the foundation of our Faith. In the pure life that thou didst live we see a model of virtue, a source of instruction and inspiration to those struggling in the ascetic life. Beholding the grace bestowed upon thee, we know that God has not forsaken his people. It is rather we that have fallen from Him, and so must regain the likeness of Divinity as thou hast done. Through thine intercession, O blessed one, grant that we may increase our striving toward our heavenly homeland, setting our affections on things above, toiling in prayer and virtue, waging war against the attacks of our fallen nature. Call on the mercy of God, that we may one day join thee in His Kingdom. For our deepest wish is to live forever with Him, the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
