Troparion of the Feast ― Tone 4
Thy Nativity, O Christ our God,/ has shone to the world as the light of wisdom./ For by it those who worshipped the stars/ were taught by a star to adore Thee,/ the Sun of Righteousness,/ and to know Thee, the Orient from on high./ O Lord, glory to Thee.
Apolytikion of the Innocents ― Tone 1
As acceptable victims and freshly picked flowers, as divine first fruits and newborn lambs, you were offered to Christ Who was born as a Child, O most pure children. You mocked Herod's wickedness: now we beseech you, unceasingly pray for our souls.

By the pangs of Thy saints,/ wherewith they suffered for Thee,/ be entreated O Lord, and heal all our pains,// O Thou Who lovest mankind.
Ἅγια Νήπια Ἀπολυτίκιον ― Ἦχος α’. Τὸν τάφον σου Σωτήρ
Ὡς θύματα δεκτά, ὡς νεόδρεπτα ῥόδα, καὶ θεία ἀπαρχή, καὶ νεόθυτοι ἄρνες, Χριστῷ τῷ ὥσπερ νήπιον, γεννηθέντι προσήχθητε, ἁγνὰ Νήπια, τὴν τοῦ Ἡρώδου κακίαν, στηλιτεύοντα, καὶ δυσωποῦντα ἀπαύστως, ὑπὲρ τῶν ψυχῶν ἡμῶν.
Apolytikion of ST MARCELLUS ― Tone 4
The image of God, was faithfully preserved in you, O Father. For you took up the Cross and followed Christ. By Your actions you taught us to look beyond the flesh for it passes, rather to be concerned about the soul which is immortal. Wherefore, O Holy Markellos, your soul rejoices with the angels.
Ὅσιος ΜΆΡΚΕΛΛΟΣ Ἀπολυτίκιον ― Ἦχος γ’. Θείας πίστεως
Ὕμνον ἄληκτον, Θεῷ προσφέρων, νοῦν ἀκοίμητον, προσφόρως ἔσχες, πρὸς ἐκπλήρωσιν τῶν θείων προστάξεων· ὅθεν κανὼν ἀρετῆς ἐχρημάτισας, καὶ Μοναστῶν ποδηγέτης θεόσοφος. Πάτερ Μάρκελλε, Χριστὸν τὸν Θεὸν ἱκέτευε, δωρήσασθαι ἡμῖν τὸ μέγα ἔλεος.

Kontakion of the Feast ― Tone 3
Today the Virgin gives birth to the Transcendent One,/ and the earth offers a cave to the Unapproachable One./ Angels with Shepherds glorify Him,/ the wise men journey with the star;/ since for our sake the eternal God was born as a little child.
Kontakion of the Innocents ― Plagal Tone 2
The King was born in Bethlehem. The Magi came from the East with gifts. They had been guided by a star. But angry Herod mowed the children like wheat, lamenting that his power was destroyed.
Kontakion of the Innocents ― Tone 4
A star sent the Magi to the newly born Child, and Herod sent his army in vain. He was wanting to murder Him Who lay in the manger as an infant.
Kontakion of the Innocents― Tone 4 "Thou hast appeared"
The star sent the magi to Him Who was born,/ and Herod cruelly sent an unjust army,// seeking to slay Him Who lay as a babe in the manger.

Ἐν τῇ Βηθλεέμ, τεχθέντος τοῦ Βασιλέως, ἐξ Ἀνατολῶν, σὺν δώροις ἥκασι Μάγοι, δι’ ἀστέρως ἐξ ὕψους ὁδηγούμενοι, ἀλλ’ Ἡρώδης ἐκταράσσεται, καὶ θερίζει τὰ Νήπια, ὥσπερ σῖτον ὀδυρόμενος· ὅτι τὸ κράτος αὐτοῦ, καθαιρεῖται ταχύ.

Though clad in a mortal body, O Markellos most wise, thou strovest to emulate the Angels' choirs in divine perpetual hymnody. And as an unsleeping shepherd of thy monastics, thou wast an example of true prayer and devoutness; O Father, intercede with the Lord, that He would save our souls.
Ὅσιος ΜΆΡΚΕΛΛΟΣ Κοντάκιον ― Ἦχος πλ. β’. Τὴν ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν
Τὴν ἀγγελικήν, ἀσίγητον ὑμνῳδίαν, σώματι θνητῷ, μιμούμενος θεοφόρε, ποιμὴν ἄγρυπνος ὤφθης, σαφῶς καὶ ἀρχέτυπον, τοῖς ἐκ πόθου ἑπομένοις σοι, εὐσεβείᾳ καὶ σεμνότητι, καὶ βοῶσι Πάτερ Μάρκελλε· χαίροις θεράπον Χριστοῦ, καὶ Ὁσίων κρηπίς.
