O Justin, teacher of divine knowledge,/ thou didst shine with the rays of true philosophy/ and wast wisely armed against the enemy./ Confessing the truth thou didst contend with the martyrs:/ with them ever entreat Christ our God to save our souls.

In their sufferings, O Lord,/ Thy martyrs received imperishable crowns from Thee our God;/ for, possessed of Thy might,/ they set at nought the tormentors and crushed the feeble audacity of the demons.// By their supplications save Thou our souls.

Thou didst empty the cup of the wisdom of the Greeks, and thou didst thirst yet again, till thou camest unto the well where thou foundest water springing to eternal life. And having drunk deeply thereof, thou didst also drink the cup that Christ gave to His disciples. Wherefore, O Justin, we praise thee as a philosopher and Martyr of Christ.

Have mercy on those beset by troubles;
And hear us when we cry out in faith, O our beloved shepherd John!

Let us honor with splendor the divinely inspired theologian, the wise Serb Justin, who by the scythe of the Holy Spirit hath thrashed the error of atheism and the insolence of the Latins, being a mystic of the God-man and lover of piety, crying out: Glory to Christ Who hath glorified thee, glory to Him Who hath crowned thee, glory to Him Who hath rendered thee a luminary to those who are in a state of darkness.

The most-sacred shepherd of Thessaly, the swift helper of those plagued, Bessarion the treasury of grace, by whose wondrous mediation, from the disease of the old pestilence, the island of Lefkada was redeemed, and without ceasing we sing hymns to him, and we venerate his skull.
