In giving birth thou didst preserve thy virginity;/ in falling asleep thou didst not forsake the world, O Theotokos./ Thou wast translated to life, O Mother of Life,/ and by your prayers you deliver our souls from death.

Thou wast armed with the invincible power of God the Word,/ O prizewinning Martyr Lupos./ Thou didst war against the prince of evil and shine resplendently in contest,/ and receive the prize of victory./ Pray for us fervently that we may be granted the forgiveness of our sins.

Your holy martyr Lupus, O Lord, / through his suffering has received an incorruptible crown from You, our God. / For having Your strength, he laid low his adversaries, / and shattered the powerless boldness of demons. / Through his intercessions, save our souls!

As a wise Hierarch you proclaimed, the gospel to the world, being named after the graces of peace, all-blessed and sacred Irenaeus, and you steadfastly contested on behalf of Christ; for this we honor you Hieromartyr with melodies, crying out: Glory to Him Who gave you strength, glory to Him Who crowned you, glory to Him Who gives to us through you grace and mercy.

By sharing in the ways of the Apostles, / you became a successor to their throne. / Through the practice of virtue, you found the way to divine contemplation, O inspired one of God; / by teaching the word of truth without error, you defended the Faith, even to the shedding of your blood. / Hieromartyr Irenaeus, entreat Christ God to save our souls.

With faith, piety and devotion let us hasten to the sacred shrine of the wondrous martyr Alban, the first in Britain to shed his blood for Christ the Lord, for Whom he willingly laid down his life; and let us pray that through his supplications our souls may find mercy and salvation.

In his struggle your holy martyr Alban, / Gained the crown of life, O Christ our God. / For strengthened by you and in purity of heart, / He spoke boldly before the judges of this world, / Offering up his head to you, the Judge of all!

Sing now and clap your hands, O Church of Sirmium. Leap up, ye waters of the River Sava, adorning thyself in the name of the all-praised Irenaeus. For, having fought the good fight and kept the faith, sealing it with his blood, he hath acquired great boldness before God, Whom he entreated without ceasing, that his Christian flock be saved in peace.

You lived as an angel on Mount Neotakos, by your ascetic conduct, God-bearing Nicholas, and were a light to all of Evia, shining with venerable virtues, for this reason your sacred memory we honor, crying out: Glory to Him Who gave you strength, glory to Him Who crowned you, glory to Him Who works through you all manner of healings.

Let us praise the venerable Haralambos, and let all the faithful with gladness and longing embrace his honorable relics. For he lived brilliantly the perfection of virtue and received the grace to work wonders. And he ever intercedes for the salvation of our souls.

By thine icon of Prusa thou art protectress of the land of Greece/ and a worker of wondrous signs, O Immaculate Virgin Mary./ For thou dost grant sight to the blind, thou dost cast out demons and strengthen paralytics, O good one./ And thou dost save from dangers all who hasten to thee./ Glory to thy seedless childbirth; glory to Him Who has made thee wonderful;/ glory to Him Who works such wonders through thee.

By thine icon of Prousa thou art shown forth as the great protectress of Greece and a worker of dread wonders All-Pure Virgin Mariam; for thou grantest sight unto the blind, thou dost cast out wicked demons and healest all that flee unto thee while crying: Glory unto thy childbirth without seed. Glory to Him that hath made thee wondrous. Glory to Him that worketh such manner of marvels through thee.

Neither the tomb nor death could hold the Theotokos,/ who is sleepless in her intercessions and an unchanging hope in her mediations./ For as the Mother of Life she was transferred to life/ by Him Who dwelt in her ever-virgin womb.

In thy contest thou didst vanquish the enemy array/ as the Lord's steadfast warrior, O Lupos./ For strengthened by divine love thou didst prevail with great struggles/ surpassing the strength of man./ Thou art interceding with Christ our God for us all.

As a steadfast warrior of the Lord, / you vanquished the enemy array, O Lupus. / Strengthened by divine love, / with strength surpassing that of man you prevailed in your contest. / Now you unceasingly intercede with Christ our God for us all.

As a sacred, guide of grace, and a renowned, witness of truth, we praise and cry out to you, all-blessed Irenaeus: Guide aright our path to the Father in peace, those who with longing flee to your intercessions, granting to us the forgiveness of our transgressions.

Kontakion of St ALBAN — Tone 2 "Seeking the highest ..."
Imbued with courage and bravery from on high, the glorious martyr Alban stood undaunted before the tyrant and boldly confessed Christ as the only God of all; and he utterly refused to offer sacrifice to false deities. Wherefore, having laid down his life for the Lord, he maketh earnest entreaty in behalf of our souls.

As an infant you were dedicated to God, and were shown to be a shining luminary of Evia O wise one, called the boast of the Venerables, founder of Mount Neotakos, the divine support of ascetics, and most-ready intercessor of those who honor you, for which we cry: Rejoice, Father Nicholas.

In the latter days Venerable One, you revealed yourself to mankind, and showed forth your grace, which was hidden to all, wherefore we sing to you, as a godly-minded friend of the Lord, and we celebrate your revered memory. Grant us your entreaties and your aid Father Haralambos.
