Radiant with the Spirit/ thou didst teach true knowledge and manifest the Faith;/ a trainer of martyrs, O Lucian,/ thou wast glorious in contest./ Intercede with Christ our God to grant us His great mercy.
Apolytikion of ST LUCIAN — Tone 4
Thy Martyr Loukianos, O Lord, in his courageous contest for Thee received the prize of the crowns of incorruption and life from Thee, our immortal God. For since he possessed Thy strength, he cast down the tyrants and wholly destroyed the demons' strengthless presumption. O Christ God, by his prayers, save our souls, since Thou art merciful.

Your holy martyr Lucian, O Lord, / through his suffering has received an incorruptible crown from You, our God. / For having Your strength, he laid low his adversaries, / and shattered the powerless boldness of demons. / Through his intercessions, save our souls!

The image of God was truly preserved in you, O Father, / for you took up the Cross and followed Christ. / By so doing you taught us to disregard the flesh for it passes away / but to care instead for the soul, since it is immortal. / Therefore your spirit, venerable Euthymius, rejoices with the angels.
