HOLY TRANSFIGURATION OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST
Troparion ―Tone 7
Thou wast transfigured on the mount, O Christ God,/ revealing Thy glory to Thy disciples as far as they could bear it./ Let Thine everlasting light shine upon us sinners/ through the prayers of the Theotokos, O Giver of Light, glory to Thee.
Troparion ―Tone 7
Thou wast transfigured on the mountain, O Christ God,/ Who didst show Thy glory unto Thy disciples as far as they could bear it,/ May Thine ever-existing light shine forth also upon us sinners/ through the prayers of the Theotokos.// O Bestower of light, glory be to Thee!
Apolytikion ―Grave Tone
You were transfigured on the Mount, Christ God revealing Your glory to Your disciples, insofar as they could comprehend. Illuminate us sinners also with Your everlasting light, through the intercessions of the Theotokos. Giver of light, glory to You.
●
Kontakion ―Tone 7
Thou wast transfigured on the mountain, O Christ our God,/ and Thy disciples beheld Thy glory as far as they were capable,/ that when they should see Thee crucified,/ they might know that Thy suffering was voluntary/ and might proclaim to the world/ that Thou art indeed the reflection of the Father.
Kontakion ―Tone 7 Idiomelon
On the mountain wast Thou transfigured,/ and Thy disciples beheld Thy glory as far as they could bear it, O Christ God;/ that when they would see Thee crucified,/ they would comprehend that Thy suffering was voluntary,// and proclaim to the world that Thou art of a truth the Effulgence of the Father.
Kontakion ―Grave Tone
You were transfigured on the mountain, O Christ our God, and Your disciples, in so far as they could bear, beheld Your glory. Thus, when they see You crucified, they may understand Your voluntary passion, and proclaim to the world that You are truly the effulgence of the Father.
