ST OSWIN — KING AND MARTYR
Martyrs ORESTES and REGINOS of Cyprus
Troparion of the DORMITION Feast — Tone 1
In giving birth thou didst preserve thy virginity;/ in falling asleep thou didst not forsake the world, O Theotokos./ Thou wast translated to life, O Mother of Life,/ and by your prayers you deliver our souls from death.

Troparion of the Prophet SAMUEL — Tone 4
Thou didst blossom as a scion of righteousness from a barren mother, O great Prophet Samuel./ Thou didst reveal beforehand the blessings we should receive;/ from childhood thou didst serve the Lord in the priestly office./ As a prophet thou anointedst kings;/ ever remember those who acclaim thee.

Troparion of the Prophet SAMUEL — Tone 2
Celebrating the memory/ of Thy prophet Samuel O Lord,// through him do we entreat Thee, save Thou our souls.

Troparion of the Prophet SAMUEL — Tone 2
You were given as a precious gift to a barren womb, / And offered as a fragrant sacrifice to your Lord. / You served Him in truth and righteousness; / Wherefore we honor you, O Samuel prophet of God, / As an intercessor for our souls.

Troparion of the Prophet SAMUEL — Tone 2
We celebrate the memory / of Your prophet Samuel, O Lord; / through him we beseech You: / “Save our souls.”

Apolytikion of the Prophet SAMUEL — Tone 4
Born to a childless mother as the fruit of righteousness, you foreshowed the future benefit that would be ours, holy Samuel; thus you gave priestly service from childhood to the Lord, and as prophet you anointed kings with holy myrrh. O blessed one, remember now those who sing your praise.

Troparion of St OSWIN— Tone 1
Courtesy and humility shone from thee,/ O radiant Martyr Oswin./ Trained by St Aidan as a Christian ruler,/ thou didst illumine northern Britian./ Glory to Him Who has strengthened thee; glory to Him Who has crowned thee;/ glory to Him Who through thee works healings for all.

Apolytikion of Martyrs ORESTES and REGINOS — Tone 4
The assembly of the Martyrs rejoices, the song of the Angels, we magnify your memory O Saints, singing a melody together and faithfully crying out: Rejoice, dual Martyrs of the Trinity and our boast, Reginos and Orestes, ever intercede for us.

Kontakion of the DORMITION Feast — 2

Kontakion of the Prophet SAMUEL — Tone 8

Kontakion of the Prophet SAMUEL — Tone 8
As a gift of great worth given to God before thy conception,/ from thine infancy thou didst serve Him, O most blessed one;/ and thou wast vouchsafed to declare beforehand the things of the future.// Wherefore, we cry out to thee: Rejoice, O Samuel, prophet of God, thou great high priest!

Kontakion of the Prophet SAMUEL — Tone 8
You were a precious gift given to God before your conception. / You served Him like an angel from your infancy, O blessed one. / You were granted the charism to announce beforehand future things. / Therefore, we cry to you: “Rejoice, Samuel, Prophet of God and great high priest.”

Kontakion of the Prophet SAMUEL — Plagal Tone 4

Kontakion of Martyrs ORESTES and REGINOS
As a very costly treasure of the Master, and a spring welling forth a fountain of miracles, are your relics on the earth which produce cleansing from illnesses and a variety of passions, directing grace which over-flows to our souls, wherefore together with longing we celebrate a festival for Reginos and Orestes.
