Troparion of the Forefeast of DORMITION — Tone 4
O you people leap for joy and clap your hands,/ and lovingly cry out with radiant gladness./ For the Ever-Virgin Mary/ is about to rise gloriously from earth to heaven./ Let us ever glorify her as the Mother of God.
Troparion of the Forefeast of DORMITION — Tone 4
Leap up in anticipation, O ye people,/ clapping your hands with faith,/ and assemble with love,/ all rejoicing today and exclaiming with splendor;/ for the Mother of God, whom we ever glorify with hymns/ as the Theotokos,// will gloriously pass over from those on earth to those on high.

Dance with joy, O peoples!
Clap your hands with gladness!
Gather today with fervor and jubilation;
sing with exultation.
The Mother of God is about to rise in glory,
ascending from earth to heaven.
We ceaselessly praise her in song as truly Theotokos.
Troparion of the Prophet MICAH — Tone 4
In the Spirit thou didst foresee the Church of Christ/ as a lofty mountain, O inspired Prophet Micah./ As thou hast foretold, those who have found salvation therein/ are walking in the paths of the Lord,/ ever praising thy glorious memory.
Ἀπολυτίκιο. Προφήτης ΜΙΧΑΊΑΣ — Ἦχος δ’. Ταχὺ προκατάλαβε
Ὡς ὄρος περίοπτον, καὶ ἐμφανὲς ἀληθῶς, προεῖδες ἐν Πνεύματι, τὴν Ἐκκλησίαν Χριστοῦ, Μιχαία θεόπνευστε· ὅθεν οἱ εὑρηκότες, ἐν αὐτῇ σωτηρίαν, βαίνουσιν ὡς προέφης, ἐν ταῖς τρίβοις Κυρίου, γεραίροντες ὦ Προφῆτα, τὴν πάνσεπτον μνήμην σου.

In thy memory the world is spiritually adorned with the immaterial Spirit/ and is gladly shouting to thee:/ Rejoice, O Virgin, boast of Christians.
Kontakion of the Forefeast of DORMITION — Tone 4 "Thou hast appeared today..." The universe, embroidered by the immaterial Spirit/ for thy glorious memorial,/ noetically crieth out to thee with gladness:/ Rejoice, O Virgin,// hou boast of Christians!

Today the universe dances with joy at your glorious memorial,
and cries out to you, O Mother of God:
"Rejoice, O Virgin, pride of Christians!"

Illumined by the light of the Holy Spirit,/ thou didst foretell Christ's condescension/ whereby we who honour thee/ are redeemed from corruption,/ O God-inspired Prophet Micah.
