ST STEPHEN THE NEW
HOLY MARTYR IRENARCHUS
Troparion of ST STEPHEN the New ― Tone 3
Thou didst live a holy and ascetic life/ and didst become a vessel of prayer./ Through thy reverence for the Icon of Christ/ thou wast found worthy of the joy of martyrs./ O holy Stephen, pray to Christ our God to grant us His great mercy.
Troparion of ST STEPHEN the New ― Tone 4
Struggling first in fasting upon the mountain,/ with the whole armor of the Cross thou didst destroy the noetic hordes of the enemy, O most blessed one;/ and afterwards thou didst manfully array thyself for thy contest,/ slaying Copronymus with the sword of faith.// And for both hast thou been crowned by God, O ever-memorable venerable martyr Stephen.
Troparion of ST STEPHEN the New — Tone 4
Trained in asceticism on the mountain, / with the weapon of the Cross you destroyed the spiritual assaults of the hostile powers, all-blessed one; / Again you bravely prepared for combat / and slew Copronymus with the sword of faith; / for both struggles you have been crowned by God, monk-martyr Stephen of eternal memory.
Troparion of ST EIRENARCHOS ― Tone 4
Thou didst confess the Prince of Peace with faith/ and abandon the lord of error and turmoil, O wise Irenarchus./ Thou didst pass through fire and water/ and emerge as a trophy-bearer./ Pray that peace and salvation may be granted unto all.

Lovers of the feasts, from the heart with hymns let us praise in faith / godlike Stephen the lover of the Trinity, / for he honored the fair icon of the Master and of His Mother. / Now let us rejoice together and cry out to him with love: / “Rejoice, ever glorious Father.”
Kontakion of ST STEPHEN the New ― Tone 8 "To thee the champion leader"
With all our heart, O ye who love the feasts of the Church,/ let us faithfully praise with hymns the godly Stephen, the lover of the Trinity,/ as one who venerated the beauteous image of the Master and His Mother;/ and together let us now cry out to him, rejoicing with love:// Rejoice, O ever-glorious father!
Kontakion of ST STEPHEN the New ― Tone 3 "Today the Virgin"
From a barren woman didst thou, the offshoot of a root, grow forth,/ O venerable father, namesake of the protomartyr;/ and thou wast shown to be a great instructor of monks,/ unafraid of the wrath of the emperor who did not wish to venerate the image of Christ.// Wherefore, in dying thou didst receive the crown of martyrdom, O Stephen.
