Apolytikion for ST SPYRIDON — Tone 1
Thou wast a champion of the First Synod and a wonderworker, O God-bearing Father Spyridon. Thou didst speak to one dead in the grave, and change a serpent to gold; and while thou wast chanting the holy prayers the Angels were serving with thee. Glory to Him Who has glorified thee; glory to Him Who has crowned thee; glory to Him Who through thee works healings for all.

Troparion for ST SPYRIDON — Tone 1
Thou wast shown forth as a champion of the first Council/ and a wonderwork­er, O Spiridon, our God-bearing father./ Wherefore, thou didst speak to one dead in the grave,/ and didst change a serpent into gold./ And, whilst chanting thy holy prayers, thou didst have angels serving with thee, O most sacred one./ Glory to Him that hath given thee strength!/ Glory to Him that hath crowned thee!// Glory to Him that worketh healings for all through thee!

The very truth of things revealed thee to thy flock as a rule of faith, a model of meekness and teacher of abstinence. Wherefore, thou didst attain the heights through humility, and riches through poverty. O father Spyridon, entreat Christ God that our souls be saved!

Ἅγιος ΣΠΥΡΊΔΩΝ Ἀπολυτίκιον — Ἦχος α’. Τοῦ λίθου σφραγισθέντος
Τῆς Συνόδου τῆς πρώτης ἀνεδείχθης ὑπέρμαχος, καὶ θαυματουργὸς θεοφόρε, Σπυρίδων Πατὴρ ἡμῶν· διὸ νεκρᾷ σὺ ἐν τάφῳ προσφωνεῖς, καὶ ὄφιν εἰς χρυσοῦν μετέβαλες· καὶ ἐν τῷ μέλπειν τὰς ἁγίας σου εὐχάς, Ἀγγέλους ἔσχες συλλειτουργοῦντάς σοι ἱερώτατε. Δόξα τῷ σὲ δοξάσαντι Χριστῷ, δόξα τῷ σὲ στεφανώσαντι, δόξα τῷ ἐνεργοῦντι διὰ σοῦ, πᾶσιν ἰάματα.

Blessed ascetic of the northern wilds/ and intercessor for the whole world;/ teacher of Orthodoxy, instructor of piety,/ adornment of Alaska and gladness of America,/ holy Father Herman, pray to Christ our God that He may save our souls.

O venerable Herman, ascetic of the northern wilderness/ and gracious advocate for all the world,/ teacher of the Orthodox Faith and good, instructor of piety,/ adornment of Alaska and joy of all America;// Entreat Christ God, that He save our souls.

Troparion of ST FINNIAN of Clonard ― Tone 8
Truly thou art the "Tutor of the Saints of Ireland",/ O Founder of Clonard, great Father Finnian./ As thou didst tirelessly teach the faith in thy native land,/ so teach us to follow thy example that many may come to know Christ/ and be led into the Way of Salvation.

Troparion of ST COLUMBA of Leinster ― Tone 8
O pious Columba, as a disciple of our Father Finnian and a renowned struggler,/ thou didst shine forth in the ascetic life./ O Ireland's treasure, cease not to pray for those who labour,/ weeping and repenting, for the salvation of their souls.

Troparion of ST COLMAN of Glendalough ― Tone 8
Giving thy life to Christ in monastic poverty,/ thou didst teach us a God-pleasing set of values, O Father Colman./ Wherefore intercede with Christ our God that He will instill in us constancy of faith, patience in trials and freedom from worldliness/ that we may be found worthy of His great mercy.

Thou didst lend wings to thy mind with the fire of the Spirit, wounded by love for Christ. Thy practical work was the practice of contemplation, O inspired Spyridon. Thou didst become a divine altar, imploring illumination for all.

Wounded by the love of Christ, / all-holy one, your mind was given wings through the light of the Spirit, / you found work in active contemplation, God-pleasing Spyridon, / becoming a divine sacrifice, / and imploring divine illumination for all.

Wounded with love for Christ,/ and giving wings to thy mind through the radi­ance of the Spirit, O most sacred one,/ thou didst find thy work in thine active divine vision,/ O thou that art pleasing unto God,/ being a divine oblation,// and asking divine illumination for all.

Ἅγιος ΣΠΥΡΊΔΩΝ Κοντάκιον — Ἦχος β’. Τὰ ἄνω ζητῶν
Τῷ πόθῳ Χριστοῦ, τρωθεὶς ἱερώτατε, τὸν νοῦν πτερωθείς, τῇ αἴγλῃ τοῦ Πνεύματος, πρακτικῇ θεωρίᾳ τὴν πρᾶξιν εὗρες θεόληπτε, θυσιαστήριον θεῖον γενόμενος, αἰτούμενος πᾶσι θείαν ἔλλαμψιν.

Ἅγιος ΣΠΥΡΊΔΩΝ Κοντάκιον — Ἦχος πλ. δ’. Τῇ ὑπερμάχῳ
Ὡς θησαυρὸν τῆς συμπαθείας ἀδαπάνητον
Καὶ τῶν θαυμάτων κρήνην ὄντως πολυχεύμονα
Μακαρίζομεν Σπυρίδων σε Ἱεράρχα.
Ἀλλ’ ὡς ῥύστης τῶν καλούντων σε ὀξύτατος
Ἐκ παντοίων ἀπολύτρωσαι κακώσεων
Τοὺς βοῶντάς σοι, χαίροις Πάτερ πανεύφημε.

Monk of Valaam and beloved of the Mother of God,/ new zealot of the old desert-dwellers in thy labours;/ armed with prayer as thy sword and shield, thou wast terrible to demons and pagan darkness./ O St. Herman, we cry to thee: pray to Christ our God that our souls may be saved.

Kontakion of ST HERMAN of Alaska — Tone 8
O beloved of the Mother of God, who received the tonsure at Valaam,/ new zealot of the struggles of the desert-dwellers of old:/ wielding prayer as a spear and shield, thou didst show thyself to be terrible to demons and pagan darkness.// Wherefore, we cry out to thee: O venerable Herman, entreat Christ God, that our souls be saved!

Χαίροις τῶν θαυμάτων ὁ ποταμός· χαίροις ἀσθενούντων, καὶ πασχόντων ὁ ἰατρός· χαίροις τῶν λογίων, τοῦ Πνεύματος ὁ σπόρος, Σπυρίδων Τριμυθοῦντος ποιμὴν τρισόλβιε.
