Apolytikion of ST BARBARA — Tone 4
Let us praise holy Barbara who has broken the snares of the enemy. By the help of the weapon of the Cross she has escaped as a bird and flown Godwards.
Troparion of ST BARBARA ― Tone 8
Let us honor the holy Barbara; for the most honored one broke the snares of the enemy// and was delivered from them like a bird, with the help and aid of the Cross.

Let us honor the holy martyr Barbara, / for as a bird she escaped the snares of the enemy, / and destroyed them through the help and defense of the Cross.

Τῆς Τριάδος τὴν δόξαν ἀνακηρύττουσα, ἐν τῷ λουτρῷ τρεῖς θυρίδας ὑπεσημήνω σοφῶς, κοινωνίαν πατρικὴν λιποῦσα πάνσεμνε· ὅθεν ἠγώνισαι λαμπρῶς, ὡς παρθένος εὐκλεής, Βαρβάρα Μεγαλομάρτυς. Ἀλλὰ μὴ παύσῃ πρεσβεύειν, ἐλεηθῆναι τὰς ψυχὰς ἡμῶν.

Thou wast a holy instrument and a tuneful harp of godliness. Thy teachings shone forth to the ends of the world, O venerable John, entreat Christ our God to grant us His great mercy.

Champion of Orthodoxy, teacher of purity and of true worship, / the enlightener of the universe and the adornment of hierarchs: / all-wise father John, your teachings have gleamed with light upon all things. / Intercede before Christ God to save our souls.

O instructor of Orthodoxy, teacher of piety and purity,/ beacon for the whole world, divinely inspired adornment of monastics./ O most wise John by thy doctrines thou hast illumined all.// O harp of the Spirit, entreat Christ God that our souls be saved.

Θεῖον ὄργανον, τῆς Ἐκκλησίας, λύρα εὔσημος, τῆς εὐσεβείας, ἀνεδείχθης Ἰωάννη πανεύφημε· ὅθεν πυρσεύεις τοῦ κόσμου τὰ πέρατα, ταῖς τῶν σοφῶν σου δογμάτων ἐλλάμψεσι. Πάτερ Ὅσιε, Χριστὸν τὸν Θεὸν ἱκέτευε, δωρήσασθαι ἡμῖν τὸ μέγα ἔλεος.

Τὴν καλλικέλαδον, καὶ λιγυραῖς μολπαῖς, κατακηλοῦσάν τε, καὶ ἀγλαΐζουσαν, τὴν Ἐκκλησίαν τοῦ Χριστοῦ, εὔλαλον ἀηδόνα, δεῦτε εὐφημήσωμεν, Ἰωάννην τὸν πάνσοφον, τὸν Δαμασκηνὸν πιστοί, ὑμνογράφων τὸν πρύτανιν· τὸν ἔμπλεων, ἁπάσης γενόμενον, θείας καὶ κοσμικῆς σοφίας.

The offspring of Agrapha, the leader of Phanarion, and the boast of Koroni Monastery, Seraphim let us honor for he struggled radiantly for Christ, and he freely pours forth miracles and delivers from corrupting diseases, those who cry out in faith: Glory to Him Who gave you strength, Glory to Him Who made you wondrous, Glory to Him Who grants through you, healings for all.

Ἅγιος ΣΕΡΑΦΕὶΜ Ἀπολυτίκιον ― Ἦχος α’. Τῆς ἐρήμου πολίτης
Τῶν Ἀγράφων τὸν γόνον, Φαναρίου τὸν πρόεδρον, καὶ Μονῆς Κορώνης τὸ κλέος, Σεραφεὶμ εὐφημήσωμεν· ἀθλήσας γὰρ λαμπρῶς ὑπὲρ Χριστοῦ, θαυμάτων ἐπομβρίζει δωρεάς, καὶ λυτροῦται νοσημάτων φθοροποιῶν, τοὺς πίστει ἀνακράζοντας• δόξα τῷ δεδωκότι σοι ἰσχύν, δόξα τῷ σὲ θαυμαστώσαντι, δόξα τῷ ἐνεργοῦντι διὰ σοῦ, πᾶσιν ἰάματα.

Apolytikion of Holy Martyrs CHRISTODOULOS and CHRISTODOULI — Tone 4
The two athletes of Christ who contested together, let us celebrate with song Christodoulos as well as Christodouli, the flowers of the faith, who with the wings of divine love, contested with one mind, and destroyed the serpent, and do now entreat, on behalf of our souls.

Great Martyr Barbara, thou didst follow Him Who is praised in Trinity,/ having abandoned the idols' shrines./ Thou didst strive in the midst of the arena, not shrinking from the tyrants' threats./ Thou didst cry out in a strong voice:/ I worship the Trinity, the One Divinity.

Singing the praises of the Trinity, / you followed God by enduring suffering; / you renounced the multitude of idols, / O holy martyr Barbara. / In your struggles, you were not frightened by the threats of your torturers, but cried out in a loud voice: / “I worship the Trinity in one God-head.”

Following God Who is piously hymned in Trinity,/ O athlete, thou didst dim the pagan temples;/ and, suffering amid thy contest, O Barbara of manly mind,/ thou wast not afraid of the threats of the tyrants, ever chanting aloud:// "I worship the Trinity, the One God!"

Ἁγία ΒΑΡΒΆΡΑ Κοντάκιον — Ἦχος δ’. Ὁ ὑψωθεῖς ἐν τῷ Σταυρῷ
Τῷ ἐν Τριάδι εὐσεβῶς ὑμνουμένῳ, ἀκολουθήσασα σεμνὴ Ἀθληφόρε, τὰ τῶν εἰδώλων ἔλιπες σεβάσματα, μέσον δὲ τοῦ σκάμματος, ἐναθλοῦσα Βαρβάρα, τυράννων οὐ κατέπτηξας, ἀπειλὰς ἀνδρειόφρον, μεγαλοφώνως κράζουσα σεμνή· Τριάδα σέβω, τὴν μίαν Θεότητα.

Let us praise the illustrious hymnographer John, teacher of the Church and champion against her enemies. For armed with the weapon of the Lord's Cross, he hath banished the errors of heresy. He fervently intercedes with God Who grantest forgiveness to all.

Let us sing praises to John, worthy of great honor, / the composer of hymns, the star and teacher of the Church, the defender of her doctrines: / through the might of the Lord’s Cross he overcame heretical error / and as a fervent intercessor before God / he entreats that forgiveness of sins may be granted to all.

Let us hymn John, the honored and divinely eloquent speaker and hymnographer,/ the instructor and teacher of the Church,/ the opponent of the enemy; for taking up the Cross of the Lord as a sword,/ he hath cut down all the falsehood of heresies, and as a fervent intercessor before God// he bestoweth forgiveness of transgressions upon all.

Τὸν ὑμνογράφον καὶ σοφὸν Ἰωάννην, τῆς Ἐκκλησίας παιδευτὴν καὶ φωστῆρα, καὶ τῶν ἐχθρῶν ἀντίπαλον ὑμνήσωμεν πιστοί· ὅπλον γὰρ ἀράμενος, τὸν Σταυρὸν τοῦ Κυρίου, πᾶσαν ἀπεκρούσατο, τῶν αἱρέσεων πλάνην· καὶ ὡς θερμὸς προστάτης εἰς Θεόν, πᾶσι παρέχει, πταισμάτων συγχώρησιν.

Τῆς Ἐκκλησίας τὸν ἀστέρα τὸν νεόφωτον

Ἀνυμνήσωμεν ἐν ᾄσμασι θεοφθόγγοις·
Ἀνατείλας γὰρ ἐσχάτως δι’ ἀθλήσεως
Καταυγάζει Ὀρθοδόξων τὰ πληρώματα,
Χαίροις λέγοντα, Σεραφεὶμ ἀξιάγαστε.

The brave Martyrs, and siblings according to the flesh, the wise Christodoulos, and Christodouli we honor, the instruments of the tyrant, they put to shame, thereby showing, the power of the Crucified One, O glory of Martyrs, as well as boast.

Πατέρα λιποῦσα τὂν δυσσεβῆ, ἐδείχθης θυγάτηρ, Βασιλέως τῶν οὐρανῶν, ὑπὲρ οὗ προθύμως, ἀθλήσασα Βαρβάρα, λυτροῦσαι πάσης νόσου, τοὺς προσιόντας σοι.

Ὅσιος ἸΩΆΝΝΗΣ ὁ ΔΑΜΑΣΚΗΝΌΣ Μεγαλυνάριον
Ὑψηλῶν δογμάτων ἐρμηναυτά, ἱερῶν ᾀσμάτων, θεορρῆμον ὑφηγητά, χαίροις Ἰωάννη, ὁ πάντας διεγείρων, τοῖς μελιχροῖς σου ὕμνοις, πρὸς θείαν αἴνεσιν.

Megalynarion of ST SERAPHIM of the Phanar
You were perfected with holy anointing, fervently undergoing, the martyrdom of Christ; you were not put to shame with your pure struggle, O Seraphim, for Christ has glorified you.

Ἅγιος ΣΕΡΑΦΕὶΜ Μεγαλυνάριον
Χρίσματι ἁγίῳ τελειωθείς, θερμῶς ἀναδέχῃ, τὸ μαρτύριον τοῦ Χριστοῦ· οὑ γὰρ ἐπῃσχύνθης, τὸν εὐαγῆ ἀγῶνα, ὦ Σεραφεὶμ διό σε, Χριστὸς ἐδόξασε.

Rejoice two-horsed chariot of the Martyrs, blessed Christodoulos, the communicant of champions, rejoice Christodouli, beautiful bride of Christ, revered Virgin Martyr, worthy of wonder.
